Belleville Pond has one of the best inland marsh habitats in the whole state of Rhode Island. The water is shallow which is great for fishing and a lot of biological diversity. Flora that you may see on this paddle include cattail, red maple, oak, aspen, birch bulrush, pickerelweed, waterlily, duckweed and bladderwort. The habitat is also excellent for a variety of waterfowl including Canada goose, American coot, green-winged teal, wood duck, mallard and black duck.
